Paw-louse 5k Fun Run & Walk
The annual Paw-louse 5k Fun Run & Walk is an annual fundraiser for Humane Society of the Palouse, beginning back in 2011. The race has traditionally followed Paradise Path through UI campus, but in 2024, we made some exciting changes to the route! After seeing such a success, we have decided to continue the new route! Participants can look forward to running along the smooth, paved, and well-maintained Latah Trail. We'll kick things off in the Alturas Analytics parking lot. Please join us for a beloved dog-friendly race that supports lost and homeless pets in need!
The Route
The 5k will follow the route outlined below in an "out-and-back" fashion:
There are three crossings along the route. Each of these crossings will be manned by event volunteers with traffic flags to help participants cross safely. There will be a water station and bathroom about halfway through the route, with a second water station at the turnaround point.
