At HSoP, we provide care and shelter to hundreds of pets in need throughout Latah County. We help as many pets as we can, but often, we're limited by the amount of space inside our facility.
Right now, our shelter is at full capacity for both cats and dogs. This means we have no more space to take in other pets who may need our help. Many of the pets currently in our care are ready for adoption but are simply waiting on the right person or family to come along.
Clear the Shelters is a yearly national movement aimed at increasing pet adoptions and making more room in animal shelters by "clearing out" those who are all ready to go home. We love participating in Clear the Shelters, and it couldn't have come at a better time! Here's how Clear the Shelters will work this year:
Pet adoption fees will be 1/2 priced and fully waived for an entire week! *
Monday, August 26th - Saturday, August 31st
Open 2:00-6:00pm, and dog kennels close at 5:00pm
*Discounted adoptions are available while supply lasts*
***Adoptions will not be processed after 5:30pm***
Pets cannot be placed on hold leading up to or during Clear the Shelters. Adoptions made during Clear the Shelters will follow our regular adoption process and procedures. Read more about the HSoP adoption process by clicking here.
If you have been looking for a new best friend, come find them during Clear the Shelters! We have so many dogs and cats waiting to be adopted, and you might just be the perfect match they've been looking for. We try our best to list all adoptable animals on our website, but we'll surely have some fresh faces inside the shelter walls! Kitten season is also in full swing, so if you're looking for a kitten (or two) we have plenty of adorable furry friends for you to meet!
HSoP typically relies on adoption fees as a form of income to help us cover the expenses of caring for each pet. In order to make this discounted adoption event possible, we've had some very generous help from our community. Take a look below at our amazing sponsors who have gone out of their way to help our friends find loving forever homes. Clear the Shelters truly would not be possible at HSoP without the selfless support we so often receive from our community. From everyone here at HSoP, thank you to our sponsors for making this event possible once again!
