Preventive Care Provided for Pets Prior to Adoption:
*All companion animals adopted from HSoP will be Spayed or Neutered, unless they have a medical condition that prevents them from undergoing surgical procedures.*
You will be given a copy of your new pets health record with the their vaccination dates, and future vaccination dates.
After your seven day foster period, HSoP will mail you your pets Rabies Certificate, rabies tag and microchip tag.
All animals under HSoP care receive the following prior to adoption:
Microchip:
Every animal adopted from HSoP has permanent identification. Every adoption comes with a lifetime registration.
Rabies Vaccine:

Rabies virus attacks the nervous system, and it is transmitted chiefly through the bite of an infected animal.
DAPPv Vaccine:
**Canine Vaccine**
DAPPv vaccine is a modified live virus vaccine for the vaccination of healthy dogs as an aid in the prevention of disease caused by canine distemper virus, adenovirus type 1 (hepatitis) and adenovirus type 2 (respiratory disease), canine parainfluenza virus, and canine parvovirus.
Bronchicine Vaccine:
**Canine Vaccine**
Bronchicine vaccine is a vaccine against the canine Bordetella bronchiseptica virus. This virus can cause infectious tracheobronchitis in dogs, or kennel cough, an illness generally lasting 1 to 3 weeks that is quite unpleasant for dogs and their owners.
FVRCP Vaccine:
**Feline Vaccine**
FVRCP vaccine is a modified live virus vaccine for the vaccination of healthy cats as an aid in the prevent of disease caused by rhinotracheitis, calicivirus and panleukopenia.
De-wormer (Strongid)
Pyrantel Pamoate is prescribed by a veterinarian to treat hookworms and roundworms in pets.
