Pet Adoption Process

Before Adopting Your Pet:

The adoption process begins with a visit to our facility at 2019 White Avenue, Moscow.

All members of the household (including other pets, if possible) should be present to ensure the chosen pet is compatible with everyone.  Adopters need to make sure to ask as many question as possible when it comes to the animal they are interested in.

Adopters will need to fill out an Adoption Application.  This is a very important step and only takes a few minutes.  Adopters must provide proof that they can have pets where they live.

When you adopt an animal, you get the following:

  • They receive preliminary vaccinations, for dogs this includes DHPP, and Bordatella (Kennel Cough). Cats receive FVRCP, and are tested for feline leukemia.

  • Spaying and neutering.
All animals are spayed or neutered BEFORE they are placed up for adoption. NO EXCEPTIONS.

  • All animals are treated for parasites.

  • All dogs are receive a 1-year rabies vaccination (if over 4 months) as well as microchip identification.

Adopting Your Pet:

Once you have decided to adopt an animal, and shelter staff have answered all of your questions and ensured that you are a good match for each other, you can take him or her home with you.
