Lori Freeman - Director

Lori came to Moscow in 1995 to attend the University of Idaho. She has either worked or been involved at the humane society since 1997. After receiving her bachelor's degree in 1999 she went to southern Idaho to teach at the secondary level. She returned to the Moscow area to receive a Master's degree and began to work at the shelter again in August of 2000.  She has been the director since August of 2001. She currently holds a holds a bachelor's and a master's in agricultural education. She enjoys rafting and traveling to Disneyland when she can find the time. Lori and her husband Steve are owned by numerous cats and dogs.

Trina Pickett - Feline Health Technician

Trina came from Oregon with experience from the Feral Cat Coalition of Oregon and Safehaven Humane Society in Albany, Oregon.  She has been with us since the beginning of January 2003.  Trina frequently fosters dogs from the shelter, and her favorite thing is to take a shy or abused dog and watch it blossom in a home environment.  She has recently begun training in Veterinary Technology, but has no plans to leave the shelter.  Trina's home is overseen by numerous cats, two ferrets, and a dog.  Click her name above to see her personal web page.

Tara Wimer - Canine Health Technician

Tara has been a part of the HSOP team since September '04.   She's our resident artist and has done some adorable wall paintings in our "Momma Room."  She is currently involved in planning an auction fund-raiser for the shelter featuring her artwork painted onto pottery.  You can see her work at the Everyday Artist on S. Main in Moscow.  Tara shares her home with numerous fish, cats, dogs, a ferret, and a hamster.

Amy Freeman - Animal Caretaker

Amy has recently returned to us after earning her master's degree in Arizona.  She works part time at the shelter including weekends.  When she's not here, she may be working as an athletic trainer or at home with her fiancée, two dogs, and three cats.
